Inducted into The Earth Trust by Vanya Orr, the Founder of Earth Trust herself,Malathi is the oldest Board member.She has been a Trustee for 2 years and Managing Trustee for over a decade. She has seen Earth Trust through It's nascent stage, its growth pains and evolution over the last decade to where it is poised now to take off into the next decade.A senior –citizen, she carries her years lightly. Her basic degree is in Mathematics.She is a founder member of Natpu in Chennai, which promotes and supports girl's education post schooling. She volunteers for a charity clinic in Coonoor run by The University Women’s Association (UWA) of Coonoor.Currently she is the Honorary Secretary of UWA Her passion - The Earth Trust, her core competence- holding Vanya's vision, always being available, open to new ideas within the ambit of ET vision and ready for the next leap forward. Deep awareness of our connection to the Universal scheme of things is her guiding philosophy.
An academician by instinct and inclination Dr.Suresh Belliraj is the Founder of Riverside Public School in Kotagiri (2001) He is on the Board of Governors and continues to mentor in an advisory role whenever needed. He set up the first gated community in the Nilgiris, in 2006, Riverside Dreamscapes Pvt. Ltd. with emphasis on spaces and greenery. He is a Trustee of BERU, an Ngo dealing with eradication of plastic. For now, the focus is on garbage segregation in villages. He is also the Co-founder of Swara Academy of Performing Arts ( 2014). Swara is an academy based in Kotagiri to promote classical arts, mainly Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music. Run on a near non-profit motive, it aims to provide a platform for local children to learn these performing arts at a very reasonable fee.
Suresh has a Master’s degree in Statistics (1991) followed by a Doctorate, PhD in Business Administration from the University of Missouri –Columbia (1995 ), B.Sc. Statistics from Loyola College Chennai, and did his schooling in Lawrence School Lovedale.
Ramachandran Kannan is the founder promoter of AssessPeople and brings with him over thirteen years of experience in Human Resource Management and over eighteen years of entrepreneurial experience. His areas of expertise include Human Resource strategy management, workforce management and process management.
An alumnus of XLRI (Batch of ’82), he has worked in organisations like Blow Plast, Crompton Greaves, Hindustan Lever and the Murugappa Group in various positions in workforce management. Kannan also runs a not-for-profit trust called Anuvikaz
( www.anuvikaz.org ). He has authored a book and several articles on HR and career guidance.

Nimmi John is a nutritionist with experience in research, teaching, clinical practice and community work. She spent 30 years educating people on sensible eating ,till she discovered that the food available to the most sensible eater has alarming amounts of chemical toxins used in agriculture and processing. Nimmi was born and raised in the Nilgiri hills. After years of treading the city path, she finally returned to the home of her childhood to ‘give back’. The natural choice was to combine her training in food and nutrition with organic farming skills to make safe food available to more people.She is a trained copy editor and has been involved in the making of 3 books as compiler, scientific editor and illustrator. She enjoys creating treasure from trash.Travel, interior design, art, architectural and furniture restoration are her hobbies.She co-ordinates the Earth Trust projects .
